Procedural Crime Fiction

This is the second novel in the FBI Special Agent Hartmann series. It seems murder follows him whereever he goes. While enjoying a luxury cruise with his beautiful partner Coleen one of their fellow passengers is brutally murdered. Dick and Coleen's discrete getaway turns into a full-blown FBI investigation. The murdered passenger has ties to the White House, so what would be a standard investigations turns into one that is being closely monitored by the Director of the FBI and the President of the United States. To complicate maters even further, their crime scene will end up sailing away and their suspects and witnesses will scatter to their homes around the world.

As the case grabs the attention of the White House, the squad travels to Los Angeles and then to Mexico where they must infiltrate a Mexican drug cartel.
